Day 1 – Meet & Assist at CAI (Cairo International Airport), transfer to your hotel for dinner & overnight

 

Day 2 - We will start with the most famous sites in Cairo: The Pyramids of Giza, including the famous Sphinx (still silent…). We will also take an opportunity to visit a Papyrus Institute where we will be able to see the process of making Papyrus in ancient times. Then we visit the "Egyptian Museum" (the tour does not include the Mummies Room). Here a vast treasure of numerous objects made of gold, bronze, alabaster, silver and more from Egypt's most glamorous times are exhibited. Afternoon we will drive you to St. Catherine for dinner & Overnight.

 

Day 3 - We visit the famous St. Catherine’s Monastery (Closed for visits on Fridays & Sundays), including the Church, dated back to the 6th Century and never destroyed since then, “The Burning Bush”, and “Jetro’s Well”. Noon time, we drive to Taba border, meet & assist by our Israeli, drive through Eilat to the Arava Border Crossing with our assist (Rabin border terminal). After ending all border-formalities we drive to our hotel in Aqaba for dinner & overnight

 

Day 4 - We drive up to the Jordanian "Desert Highway" and then to the "Rose Red City" - Petra. We enter the ancient city through the famous "Siq" - a narrow natural gorge that made the secret entrance to Petra. At once the valley of Petra opens in front of us, and we see the famous "Khazane" ("Treasury"). We visit the most famous monuments, carved in the red Sandstone, Evening domestic flight from Eilat to Tel Aviv, transfer to the hotel in Tel Aviv, Overnight on BB basis

 

Day 5 – Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city and the Garden of Gethsemane. Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue from Jerusalem to Bethlehem for an overview of Shepherd's field at the center of the town, named after the Shperds from the new testament. Drive through Rachel's tomb and enter the city of Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity and the famous Mangers square. Return to point of Departure and drive back from Bethlehem to Jerusalem. Overnight in Tel Aviv

 

Day 6- Today you will travel to Masada to learn about and the heroic story of the fighters and you will visit the resort area of the lowest place on earth: the Dead Sea. Depart Tel Aviv via the Judean hills to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada.  Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans.  Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, roman baths and other findings. Descend by cable car. Continue to the Dead Sea.  Enjoy the unique opportunity to swim and float on the Dead Sea, that many believe has therapeutic effects. On the way back,  view the Qumeran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Note: From the arrival of the cable car at Masada to the archaeological site there are 80 steps to climb.

Day 7 - Enjoy a lovely day watching the outstanding landscape of the lower Galilee.
Depart Tel Aviv via the Coastal Road and the landscape of the Lower Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood.  Visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph.  Continue, via Kana, to Tiberias, the lovely resort town. Drive along the Lake Kinnereth to visit Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught.  Continue to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of Fish and Loaves, located at the foot of the Golan Heights.  Continue to Yardenit, the famous Baptismal site, where the Jordan River leaves the Sea of Galilee towards the Dead Sea, before returning to point of departure. Overnight in Tel Aviv

Day 8 - Drive along Israel coastal road to Caesarea, the ancient Roman capital and port, with a walking tour of the theatre, the archaeological ruins and excavations. Continue to Haifa, with a scenic view of the city and the port and its Bahai Gardens.  Continue via Nahariya to Rosh Hanikra to visit the limestone grottos on the border with Lebanon. Return via Acre to visit the Crusaders and Turkish underground city and crypt. Walk through the old city and the Oriental market, the Arab mosque and the old port.  Return to point of departure. Overnight in Tel Aviv

Day 9 – Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) for departure

-       Rates are valid until 30/06/2011 but not active during 21/12/10-02/01/11, 18-20/04/2011

-       Hotels we might use are: Egypt:  Cairo Cataract Hotel or similar (01 Night), Catherine Plaza or similar (01 Night), Jordan: Mena hotel in Aqaba (01 Night), Israel: Artplus Hotel or similar Tel Aviv (05 Nights).

-       Tours are based on daily regular group tours (not private), The Israeli tours days might be changed according to operation days of the specific tours.
